Emma has finally stopped sucking her thumb! (Okay, she still sucks it at night time, but atleast I got her to stop during the day :) ) I told her months ago that as soon as she would stop, I'd sign her up for dance lessons. There is a cute high school girl in our neighborhood who teaches all the little girls in the neighborhood for pretty cheap. Well, Emma loves it! She is the youngest, of course, but she'll come home and show me all the things she has been learning. And since she and Abby have been 'playing dance' since Emma could walk, she picks up on things pretty quick.

Porter went for his 4 month check up. He is 50% in weight and head measurements and 90% in height. Yep, we've got a tall little man. I also got the okay to let him start sleeping/crying through the night. I've been sort of worried about this because he is a baby that loves to be swaddled when he sleeps (as soon as he breaks free from the covers, there is no going back to sleep), but my doctor said it was time to let him learn. He's also teething, so I was told, when he starts crying to go give him some motrin and tell him it was time to go back to sleep. Of course I thought to myself, "yeah, like that is going to work." But, guess what? It did! The first night I went in twice to tell him it was bed time and to give him medicine, the second night I went in once. And now, he is sleeping through the night. And how lovely it is! Sleep really is a wonderful thing.

Look how cute Emma is! And Porter, of course. Its amazing what a few extra hours of uninterupted sleep will do for you. I was going to send you some more clothes for Porter but he's probably as tall as Ian (how many inches exactly) so it looks like you'll miss out! Should have had shorter kids.
Yay for sleep! I can't believe how fast Porter has grown and Emma looks adorable in her dance attire.
